SSI has an immediate opening for an Environmental Engineer.
Job duties are including but not limited to:
Process designing from Wastewater characteristics available for Municipal, Industrial and Domestic Wastewater. Properly size projects for diffuser type, quantity and airflow rate and Aeration tank sizing based on inflow and retention time, Pumps, Clarifiers, influent and effluent Screens and other relevant technical data.
Work independently with internal and external project engineering team to successfully deliver cross-functional projects that are of high-quality using AST, MBR, SBR, IFAS and MBBR Wastewater Treatment technologies.
Review Design, bid documents, Proposals and Quotations prepared by project engineers of team 12-15 Involves blower sizing and selection. Piping layout from blower room to Aeration tank, Diffuser and piping layout in-tank grid system, preparation of bill of materials.
Review Shop drawings for Fabricators using Auto-Cad, Pro Engineer, Inventer11 along with Excel and Word software skills including design and drafting and producing 3D models and project submittal preparations.
Assisted drafters in developing the structural design of products using drafting tools or computer-assisted design (CAD) or drafting equipment and software.
Coordinated all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
Read and Interpreted blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports for new product development.
Material procurement, Inspection and Quality control, Field services of installation inspection and start up.
Technical support to contractors, consulting engineers, SSI representatives and owners.
Investigated equipment failures to diagnose faulty operation and made appropriate maintenance recommendations.
Led project scheduling and budgeting to successfully and quickly complete engineering projects.
Completed project mechanical design while providing technical solutions feedback.
Developed cost estimates, procured equipment and tracked construction progress to efficiently complete large-scale projects.
Involving in new membrane development and tool design projects, such as the testing and evaluation of new materials as webbed Urethane, Anti-static and PTFE and PEEK membranes.
Involving in new plastic product development and tool design projects, such as the testing and evaluation of new materials as special plastic pipe fittings.
Involving in research and development of Telemetry technology, Telemetry is the highly automated communications process by which measurements are made and other data collected at remote or inaccessible points and transmitted to receiving equipment for monitoring such as Identify problems before they happen, Anticipate breakdowns – plan maintenance for periods of low flow, Alarm when grid temperature reaches a level inconsistent and Alarm when vibration increases from historical averages.
Analyzed and verified all energy savings calculations to promote environmental sustainability and energy conservation.
Managed design and manufacturing teams to build proprietary process equipment within cost and time constraints.
Set technical direction on complex projects to level 12-15 Engineers.
Educational Requirement: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
